Description
Some 6V batteries lose height to a pair of tall terminal posts; the Leoch LDC6-224-GC2 does not. Its T11 (M8) terminals sit nearly flush, so the case stands 9.72 inches and the whole battery only 9.96 inches. That makes it a sensible choice for a compartment with a low lid, where a taller 6V block with posts on top would not close.
Capacity is 224Ah at the 20-hour rate, 192Ah at 5 hours and 173Ah at 3 hours. The footprint is the usual 260 by 180 mm, and weight is 67.2 lbs. Look at the next size down, the LDC6-210-GC2: same footprint, but its case is 5 mm taller and it stands 21 mm taller over the terminals, for 14Ah less at the 20-hour rate. So the 224 is both the lower and the larger-capacity battery of the two.
The trade for that low profile is headroom you may be leaving unused. If your tray allows about 15 mm more height, the LDC6-265-GC2 or LDC6-270 gives roughly 45Ah more at the 20-hour rate from an almost identical footprint.
