At 141.8 lbs, the Leoch LDC12-245 is the heaviest single battery in this range, and the weight is the first practical issue to plan for. A lift or a two-person team is realistic for installation; routine manual swaps are not. In return, one block supplies 245Ah at 20 hours, 210Ah at 5 hours and 185Ah at 3 hours at 12V.
The LDC12-220 uses exactly the same case, 15.24 by 7.09 inches and 13.62 inches tall (14.49 over the terminals), so the two are drop-in alternatives as far as space is concerned. Choosing the 245 adds 25Ah at 20 hours and 20Ah at 5 hours for 4.6 kg (about 10 lbs) more.
Terminals are DT (3/8"), which take a higher torque of 194.7 to 239 in-lb (22 to 27 Nm) than the 5/16" and M8 posts on smaller Leoch models, so bring the right hardware. A pair makes a 24V bank in a very compact space for the capacity. Charge between 0 and 40°C.
