Description
Five extra amp-hours is all that separates the Leoch LDC6-275 from the LDC6-270 at the 20-hour rate, but the two do not share a footprint. The 275 is 295 mm long rather than 260 mm, stands 296 mm over the terminals instead of 268 mm, and weighs 80.5 lbs against 76.5 lbs. If your tray was sized for the shorter battery, the extra capacity is not available to you.
The 5-hour figure is 240Ah, with 225Ah at 3 hours and reserve capacity of 625 minutes at 25A and 166 minutes at 75A. Hardware differs too: this model uses DT (5/16") terminals and a polypropylene case, where the 270 has T11 (M8) terminals and ABS.
Leoch's datasheet for this model lists golf carts, sightseeing vehicles, cleaning equipment, aerial work platforms, mobility devices and electric vehicles as typical applications. In a floor-cleaning machine, three in series make 18V, four make 24V, six make 36V and eight make 48V, so the bank size drives how much floor space the 295 mm length consumes.
