Description
Same box, different voltage: the Leoch LDC8-165-GC8 has the same footprint and heights as the LDC6-210-GC2 (260 by 180 mm, 252 mm to the case top, 274 mm over the terminals), the same polypropylene case and the same DT (5/16") terminals. The change is in the cells. At 8V and 165Ah it holds about 1,320 Wh at the 20-hour rate, against about 1,260 Wh for the 6V 210Ah, for 4.6 lbs more (64.5 lbs against 59.9 lbs).
The 8V format changes pack arithmetic. Three in series make 24V and six make 48V, but a 36V pack cannot be built from 8V units, so a 36V machine needs the 6V or 12V models instead. Rate figures are 140Ah at 5 hours and 125Ah at 3 hours, with reserve capacity of 325 minutes at 25A and 130 minutes at 56A.
It is the smallest 8V LDC listed here. The LDC8-188 adds 23Ah and the LDC8-210-GC8H adds 45Ah. Charge between 0 and 40°C.
