Description
The .028 is filament diameter, and it is the detail that decides where this 15-inch brush belongs. At .028 inch the bristle is on the fine, flexible end of the range - noticeably softer than the .035 and .070 filaments used on heavy-duty and abrasive brushes. A finer filament conforms to the floor rather than standing rigid against it, which cleans textured and grouted surfaces more thoroughly and is far kinder to floor finish.
That makes it a sensible choice for finished floors, tile and grout lines, and routine daily cleaning where the soil is light. Polypropylene adds oil and chemical resistance and works wet or dry. The limit is honest: a fine poly filament will not shift bonded soil. If you are making repeat passes over the same marks, the floor wants a stiffer fill or a grit brush rather than more passes with this one - and grit belongs on bare concrete only.
