Description
Tennant's code reads SCB, 26L, 18SR, HD: a scrubbing brush, 26 inches long, eighteen single rows, heavy-duty grade. The HD is the part that matters most - it means a stiffer, thicker filament than the standard version of the same body, built to keep working under a heavy deck instead of folding flat and polishing the floor.
That suits unfinished concrete, textured surfaces and sites where traffic grinds soil in. It is the wrong brush for waxed VCT or coated floors, where a stiff fill dulls finish and eventually removes it. Note that heavy duty is about stiffness, not abrasion: there is no grit in it, so it will not cut the slab, and it will not shift genuinely bonded soil either. That is where grit-impregnated fills come in, and those are for bare concrete only.
