Description
This is the motor that turns the scrub brush, not a brush itself - worth saying plainly, because "motor-drive brush" in a parts catalogue reads ambiguously and the two are very different purchases. A brush is a consumable replaced every few months; a drive motor is a repair, and at this price it is worth confirming the motor is actually the fault before ordering.
Brush drive motors usually fail gradually rather than suddenly. The symptoms are a brush that turns slowly or stalls under load, a motor that trips its breaker after a few minutes, or scrubbing performance that drops off while the brush and pad look fine. Before replacing it, rule out the cheaper causes: a brush set too low draws heavy current and can trip protection that looks like motor failure, and worn bearings or a seized brush hub load the motor the same way. If the machine has been run with down-pressure high to compensate for worn brushes, that alone can account for the symptoms.
