Description
The Tennant T260 is the machine you buy when the floor still needs to get properly clean but the aisles are too tight for a rider. It's a compact, battery-powered walk-behind scrubber built around a 20-inch disk head — big enough to cover real square footage, small enough to turn around inside a stockroom, behind a service counter, or in a hallway that a 28-inch machine would never survive.
Tennant kept the controls deliberately plain. There's a push-button start/stop and a battery meter, and that's essentially the whole learning curve. If you're handing this machine to seasonal help or a rotating night crew, that matters more than any spec on the sheet — nobody has to be re-trained every time staff turns over. The yellow touch points carry the same idea into maintenance: everything an operator is supposed to touch, check, or change is color-coded, so daily PM actually happens instead of getting skipped.
Water pickup is handled by a parabolic squeegee running standard Linatex® blades, with a floating splash guard that keeps spray contained instead of throwing it past the squeegee path. Combined with the 30.4" squeegee width — noticeably wider than the scrub path — you get a floor that's walkable behind the machine rather than one that needs cones and twenty minutes. Multiple solution flow rates let you dial back consumption on light-soil maintenance passes and open it up for heavier work.
The pad-assist drive is worth calling out. It isn't a full traction drive, but the rotating pad pulls the machine forward as it scrubs, which takes most of the push out of a long shift. Down pressure runs up to 45 lbs. Both a pad driver and a nylon brush ship with the machine, so it's ready for finished concrete, sealed VCT, porous stone, or grout out of the box.
Power is a maintenance-free 135AH sealed battery pack with an off-board charger — no watering, no acid, no battery-room procedure. Expect roughly three hours of run time on a charge, which for most single-shift accounts means charging overnight and never thinking about it again.

Best Suited For
Retail floors, schools, medical offices, gyms, restaurants and back-of-house areas, warehouses with narrow aisles, and any facility between roughly 5,000 and 40,000 sq ft where a rider is overkill and a mop isn't enough.
