Don't confuse this with the standard 31-AES — same BCI Group 31 case, but the OverDrive AES-31 is Trojan's heavy-duty variant, also offered in Group 29 sizing for equipment specced that way. It's positioned for transportation, marine, and RV duty rather than the floor-cleaning-first orientation of the plain 31-AES, though the two are dimensionally close enough (12.80" x 6.81" x 9.43" in Group 31 trim) that either fits the same tray.
Capacity comes in at 83Ah (5-hr) / 115Ah (100-hr), with 177 minutes of reserve at 25 amps — lower than the standard 31-AES's 104Ah spec, reflecting a plate design tuned more for sustained heavy load than maximum amp-hour capacity. Trojan publishes separate datasheets for the Group 31 and Group 29 versions since weight and dimensions shift slightly between them (67-69 lbs depending on group size); confirm which group size the equipment tray requires before ordering.
